CARTER MANN
After graduating from high school, I spent two years enlisted in the
U.S. Navy, where, not only did I perfect my mopping skills, but also
learned how to sport a pair of bright white bell bottoms with a funny
hat!
Upon discharge, I decided to follow my dream of being an entertainer by
writing and performing stand-up comedy in, and around, my hometown of
Fredericksburg, VA. and the Washington D.C. area.
A couple of years later, I attended film school in Orlando, Fla.,
where I met, and fell in love with, my wife. Today, we have 3 sons
and, as a result, now enjoy a whole slew of children’s television
programming daily, ranging anywhere from iCarly to SpongeBob to Elmo.
Having no daughter (yet), my wife has been caught watching Hannah
Montana, on occasion, by herself! Scary.
I started my career in radio 4+ years ago doing Morning Drive in
Saginaw and Grand Rapids, Michigan. My family, and I, jumped at the
chance to leave the arctic tundra and move to Wilmington, where I,
currently, host the Morning Show on WGNI with co-host Jackie Jordan.
I am an avid movie fan, and can be found almost every weekend, family
in tow, seeing the latest releases. And watch out if it’s a comic book
superhero movie because I’ll see those, at least, 3 times and wear
dorky superhero t-shirts for a week! I look like a grown-up in
Underoos.
I love spending time near, and in, the water, but I still think Aquaman
is lame (another fan-boy superhero plug… last one, I promise).
Basically, I just like to get out and keep my family active and
experiencing new things. We’re making Wilmington our new home, and
we’ve never been happier!
